Ryan’s California Blue Tortuosa Frag

This coral has been in captivity for many many years. Originally brought to me by a great friend, Ryan Reeves, this coral sat in my aquarium for more than a year and appeared as if it would only get prettier but with little or no growth. Then one year out of nowhere, it exploded in growth. Not quite sure what I did to make the difference.

With the proper calcium, alkalinity and magnesium levels and controlled nitrates at 20ppm or lower, you need to do hardly nothing else to make this magnificent piece do well in your aquarium! Moderate to high lighting and moderate flow are other requirements.
